Type I fluid (Ethylene Glycol)
Type I fluid is a monoethylene glycol based de-icing fluid. Type I is designed to remove ice, frost and snow on aircraft wings and fuselage. It contains special wetting agents and anti-corrosive additives to ensure quick and even application, while protecting the equipment with which it comes in contact.
It is approved by AMIL (Canada) and is listed in the Hold Over Time (HOT) brochures of the FAA and Transport Canada. Included in the list of fluids approved for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
